Affiliate programme
Programme terms
Version v2-2026-09-15, effective 2026-09-15. You earn 20% of the collected value of each sale you refer, after VAT and payment fees. Commission is held for 30 days before it becomes payable, you create a statement in the portal once the payable balance reaches €40, and we pay from €40. Refunds reverse commission. You must disclose that you are an affiliate wherever you post, you must not refer yourself, and you never receive customer details.
The agreement
1. What this agreement is
This is an agreement between you ("the affiliate") and Jobherder ("we", "us")
for the promotion of Jobherder's paid job-search service. It takes effect when you
accept it through the affiliate portal.
2. Your commission
2.1 We pay 20% of the commission base for each referred sale.
2.2 The commission base is the amount actually collected from the customer, less
(a) VAT, and (b) the payment-processing fee we were charged for that
transaction. It is not calculated on the advertised price.
2.3 Where a sale is made at a discount, the commission is calculated on the
discounted amount collected.
2.4 An order that collected nothing earns no commission.
2.5 Free sample runs are not sales and earn no commission.
2.6 We will tell you your rate in the portal. If we change it, the change applies
only to sales made after the change, and your portal shows the new rate and
the date it took effect.
3. How referrals are attributed
3.1 You are given a unique code. A customer is attributed to you when they sign up
through your link, or enter your code at checkout.
3.2 Attribution is recorded once, on first sight. A later referral cannot displace
an earlier one, so a customer is only ever credited to one affiliate.
3.3 We do not use cookies for attribution. A visitor who does not sign up in the
same session in which they arrive may not be attributed to you. This is a
deliberate trade for not requiring a consent banner.
4. Holdback, statements and payment
4.1 Commission is held for 30 days from the date of the sale before it becomes
payable. This is so that a refund does not require us to recover money we have
already paid you.
4.2 You create a statement in the portal whenever the commission that has become
payable reaches the amount in 4.4. We may also create one for you, for example at
the end of a month.
4.3 You review the statement and raise an invoice to us for the total. The portal
generates the invoice document for you.
4.4 We pay by bank transfer or Wise, once the total on a statement is at least
€40. Balances below €40 carry over to the next month.
4.5 We register the payment in the portal with its reference, so you can match it
against your own records.
5. Refunds, chargebacks and reversals
5.1 If a sale is refunded, the commission on it is reversed. This applies whether
or not the commission has become payable.
5.2 If a customer disputes a payment, the commission is frozen while the dispute is
open. It is released if we win, and reversed if we lose.
5.3 Where commission has already been paid on a sale that is later refunded, the
amount is carried as a negative balance against future commission. We will not
invoice you for it.
5.4 You must not encourage a customer to claim a refund in order to obtain a
commission on a sale that was not genuine.
6. Self-referral and honest promotion
6.1 You must not refer yourself, use your own link or code for your own purchases,
or arrange for anyone to do so on your behalf.
6.2 You must not create accounts, traffic or clicks artificially, including by
automated means.
6.3 You must not bid on Jobherder brand terms in paid search, or present yourself
as Jobherder.
6.4 We check for self-referral using signals including payment details, device and
network information. Commission connected to a self-referral will be voided.
6.5 Commission that we reasonably believe was obtained by fraud, artificial
traffic, or a breach of this agreement may be voided.
7. Disclosure
7.1 Wherever you promote Jobherder you must clearly disclose that you are an
affiliate earning commission. The disclosure must be prominent, understandable,
and visible before the reader engages with the promotion — not in a hashtag at
the end, and not only in a profile bio.
7.2 This is a legal requirement (EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, Annex I
point 11, and its national implementations). Breach can expose us as well as
you to enforcement, so we take it seriously.
7.3 We provide approved wording in the portal. Using it satisfies 7.1.
7.4 You are responsible for the content you publish, and you indemnify us against
claims arising from your promotion that breach this clause.
8. Privacy and data
8.1 We will not give you any information about individual customers — not their
name, email, or what they searched for. You will see counts and amounts, never
identities.
8.2 You must not attempt to identify customers, and you must not place any tracking
pixel, tag or script on Jobherder pages.
8.3 We process your personal data to operate this agreement: to attribute referrals,
calculate commission, pay you, and meet our tax and accounting obligations. Our
privacy notice explains this.
8.4 We may be required to report or retain information about payments to you for tax
purposes.
9. Tax
9.1 You are responsible for your own tax affairs, including declaring this income to
your own tax authority.
9.2 You must tell us your tax status accurately in the portal, and keep it up to date
if it changes.
9.3 If you are NOT VAT registered — the usual case for an individual affiliate — you
invoice us without VAT. Your invoice shows no VAT number and no VAT amount, and it
is not a VAT invoice. The portal's template is already written this way.
9.4 If you are VAT registered, you must give us your VAT number and show it on your
invoice. Where the reverse charge applies, the invoice carries the note required by
Article 196, Council Directive 2006/112/EC, and no VAT is charged by you.
9.5 We follow the status you have declared; you are responsible for it being correct.
If it changes, tell us before your next invoice.
10. Term and termination
10.1 Either of us may end this agreement at any time, with or without cause, by
written notice.
10.2 If we end it for a breach of clause 6, 7 or 8, commission that has not yet
become payable is void.
10.3 If either of us ends it for any other reason, commission already earned and
payable, and commission that becomes payable from sales made before
termination, is still paid.
10.4 After termination you must stop using the link and code and remove any
promotion of Jobherder.
10.5 Clauses 5, 7.4, 8 and 9 survive termination.
11. Changes to this agreement
11.1 We may update this agreement. The version number and date are on the face of it.
11.2 If we make a material change we will ask you to accept the new version before
further commission accrues. Sales made under the previous version are governed
by that version.
12. Liability
12.1 We provide the service and the portal as they are. We do not guarantee any
level of earnings, that the service will be available without interruption, or
that any particular referral will convert.
12.2 Our total liability to you under this agreement is limited to the commission
payable to you in the twelve months before the claim.
12.3 Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Notices
13.1 Notices under this agreement are given in writing. To us: [email protected].
To you: the email address on your affiliate account, which you must keep current.
13.2 A notice is received on the next working day after it is sent.
14. Governing law
14.1 This agreement is governed by the laws of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have
exclusive jurisdiction.
