About this role

📍 Location: Amsterdam ⏱ Weekly Hours: Between 16-20 hours per week 📅 Start Date & Duration: Available immediately (6-month minimum commitment) Join Fastned at the forefront of Europe’s electric vehicle and charging infrastructure revolution! Since 2012, Fastned has been building and operating a rapidly growing network of iconic fast-charging stations powered entirely by solar and wind energy — now spanning over 400 stations across nine countries in Europe.

Our goal is 1,000 stations in prime locations. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Working Student with a strong passion for Data Analytics, and AI Process Automation. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our day-to-day payroll and accounting operations while actively participating in innovative automation projects designed to optimize our global workflows. In this role, you will be part of the Payroll Team, reporting to the Payroll Lead and collaborating closely with the HR and Accounting teams.

What you’ll be doing Process Automation & Optimization • Data Flow Automation: Research and test the feasibility of automating data flows from HiBob absence reports into monthly absence templates for countries requiring recurring reporting. • Other payroll process automation. • AI Agent Development: Build and implement custom AI agents/ super agent (e.g.,via Dust) to streamline payroll queries and support broader operational automation goals.

2. Operational Support • Data Consolidation: Collect and consolidate working student hours (currently being sent by managers via email) into a clean, unified report for the Netherlands Payroll Specialist. • Collects (via payroll inbox) and consolidate the net deductions for loss of access to building card. • Prepares and monitors monthly overview of the car fines to be deducted through payroll. • Admin of current pension plan & preparation of invoice by department for Accounts payable.

• Prepares monthly Payroll Balance sheet reconciliation accounts (Based on Netsuite reports) Who we are looking for • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail. • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Hands-on experience or a keen interest in Power BI, SQL, AI platforms (e.g., Dust), or process automation tools is strongly preferred.
