ABOUT THE ROLE Accela is seeking a strategic, data-driven, and results-oriented Vice President of Marketing to lead the company's global marketing organization and accelerate growth. Reporting to the executive leadership team, the VP of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, demand generation, pipeline creation, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
This leader will oversee all aspects of marketing, including Demand Generation, Business Development Representatives (BDRs), Product Marketing, Brand & Creative, Corporate Communications, Content Marketing, Events & Trade Shows, Customer Marketing, Public Relations, and Marketing Operations. The VP will partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Revenue Operations, Partner Channel, and Executive Leadership to create a unified go-to-market strategy that expands market presence, increases customer acquisition, and drives measurable business outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned GovTech SaaS marketing executive with experience leading the full marketing function for a growth-stage or enterprise software company. They have successfully built and scaled teams across demand generation, product marketing, communications, events, customer marketing, and operations; managed significant marketing budgets; developed annual and multi-year marketing strategies; and delivered measurable pipeline, revenue, and market awareness outcomes.
The successful candidate will have a proven history of leading leaders, influencing executive and board-level discussions, and aligning marketing investments to company growth objectives. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Marketing Strategy & Revenue Growth Develop and execute a comprehensive 1-3 year marketing strategy aligned with company growth objectives and revenue targets. Own marketing's contribution to pipeline generation, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across the marketing funnel, including lead generation, conversion rates, pipeline contribution, customer acquisition cost, and ROI. Partner closely with executive leadership to define and execute go-to-market strategies that support strategic business priorities.
