Job Title: Video Editor (YouTube & Podcast Content) Location: Remote Time Zone: US Time Zones (EST–PST) Role Overview We are seeking a Junior Video Editor with hands-on experience editing YouTube videos and podcast content. This role is ideal for an early-career editor who understands modern YouTube-style storytelling, pacing, and audience retention, and who actively uses emerging AI-powered tools to enhance editing speed, quality, and creativity.
You will work closely with content creators, producers, and marketers to turn long-form and short-form recordings into polished, engaging video content optimized for digital platforms. Key Responsibilities - Edit long-form YouTube videos and video podcasts, including multi-camera edits where applicable - Create short-form clips (Shorts, Reels, TikToks) from podcast and YouTube content - Apply clean cuts, pacing, basic motion graphics, captions, and sound balancing suitable for YouTube audiences - Use AI-powered tools to assist with editing workflows, captioning, clipping, noise reduction, and content optimization - Collaborate with producers and creators to implement feedback and revisions efficiently - Ensure all videos align with brand guidelines, platform best practices, and publishing requirements - Organize project files and assets to support a smooth remote workflow Required Qualifications - 2+ year of hands-on experience editing YouTube videos and/or video podcasts - Demonstrated experience using modern AI tools in video editing workflows (e.g., AI-assisted editing, auto-captioning, audio cleanup, clip generation, or similar) - Proficiency with at least one professional video editing platform (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar) - Strong understanding of YouTube and podcast content styles, pacing, and viewer engagement - Prior experience working remotely, with fluency in remote collaboration tools and platforms such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana (or similar).
Candidates must have previously worked with US or UK-based companies; applications without this experience will not be considered. - Ability to take feedback, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly in a remote environment Preferred Qualifications - Experience editing for YouTube channels or podcasts with consistent publishing schedules - Familiarity with short-form content strategies for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels - Basic motion graphics or text animation experience - Interest in staying current with new AI tools and trends in video production and content creation Tools & Technology - Video Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar - Audio & Podcast Tools: Adobe Audition, Descript, or similar - Collaboration & Workflow: Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, Notion, or similar Please NOTE It is crucial that you complete the application form in full.
