About this role
About the role We are looking for a detailed, highly adaptable Accountant to join our finance team temporary (12 months). In this role, you will play a central part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our end-to-end financial operations. While you will support key indirect tax compliance and reporting workflows, your primary focus will be broader financial management: managing complex ledger transactions, executing monthly reconciliations, driving period-end close processes, and ensuring seamless data integration across our global supply chain and ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities This is a hybrid position based at our European Shared Service Centre in Cork, Ireland. Oversee and audit transactional data flow across multi-entity, multi-currency supply chains to ensure financial and accounting integrity. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve ERP and invoice-processing system errors, collaborating with IT and operational teams to test and validate system enhancements. Lead key balance sheet and system account reconciliations as part of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including posting journal entries and monitoring intercompany transactions.
Support key indirect tax compliance and local/cross-border VAT reporting, ensuring correct invoice structuring rules and supply-chain classification rule combinations. Serve as an operational point of contact for internal and external auditors during periodic financial reviews and continuously review finance workflows to maintain strict adherence to internal controls. Qualifications Required: 3+ years of Finance/VAT expertise within a multi-national or similar corporate environment, along with an accounting or finance qualification at degree level or above.
Strong working knowledge of Oracle Financials (or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel proficiency (including Pivot Tables and VLookups). Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, execute defined internal controls, and deliver accurate reporting under tight deadlines.
