Our mission is simple: to motivate people to live their best active lives. We believe in the power of movement to connect and drive people forward. ABOUT THIS ROLE The Trust & Safety Ops team protects Strava's global community of athletes by enforcing community standards, responding to safety incidents, and partnering with Legal, Policy, Engineering, and Product to build scalable moderation systems. We sit within the Product Management organisation and operate as a small, high-trust team where every person's work is visible and impactful.
We're hiring two Trust & Safety Specialists to join the team in Dublin and own core content moderation operations. You'll work in Strava's moderation tooling and Intercom, reviewing user reports and proactive detection flags, actioning content and account decisions across categories including spam, harassment, impersonation, graphic content, and child safety. You'll collaborate closely with your manager and senior team members, escalate edge cases with clear reasoning, and contribute to queue health and SLA performance.
This is hands-on operational work with real, measurable impact on the safety of millions of athletes. The two positions require working on a weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) schedule to provide weekend coverage for time-sensitive regulatory obligations. We follow a flexible hybrid model that translates to more than half of your time on-site in our Dublin office, two days per week. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Review reactive user reports and proactive detection flags in Strava's moderation tool and Intercom, making content and account enforcement decisions against Community Standards, Acceptable Use Policy, and internal policies.
- Own moderation queue targets jointly with your manager, meeting SLA expectations across tiered response times and maintaining high decision accuracy and consistency. - Escalate edge cases, novel policy questions, and high-severity incidents (child safety, legal requests) to senior team members or Legal with clear, well-reasoned context. - Contribute to compliance-driven review workflows for regulatory obligations including, but not limited to, the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Take It Down Act (TIDA).
