We currently have exciting opportunities for Transport Dispatch Supervisor to join the team in West Bromwich - Site B - 2 Sisters Food Group. The hours of work and shift patterns are: Week 1 - Monday - Friday 06:00 - 16:00 Week 2 - Tuesday - Saturday 07:00 - 17:00 Pay Rate: £15.56 Main Responsibilities To effectively and efficiently, manage resources to ensure the best use of people, plant and materials and meet output and customer service targets.
Ensure that all 2SFG customer and legal requirements are followed at all times e.g., food safety, policies and procedures. Work as a Team to support each area key deliverables. Review, develop and manage your team in order to ensure that they maintain acceptable levels/standards of performance, attendance and conduct. To ensure that the site is legally & contractually compliant in all areas and to actively promote hygiene & health & safety, immediately halting any un-safe working practice & taking appropriate action to remedy.
Achieve planned unloading and out loading. Monitor the ongoing progress of the operation, liaising with fellow team leaders and other departments as necessary to alleviate problem areas & resolve problems. Ensure that all employees within your team are aware of their roles/accountabilities, ensure that training is provided and booked via the transport manager to meet these and that all 2SFG policies and procedures are complied with.
Communicate, liaise and escalate issues with the Transport Manager, colleagues and other departments where necessary. Ensure that the site achieves and maintains the targeted level of accreditation through customer/legal auditing processes. To monitor and complete all relevant documentation as required e.g. FLT Checks load plans and dispatch paperwork. To work with the Transport Manager to ensure the yard unit 3 and all areas of the transport department are always maintained to a high standard.
Assist in formal employment relation matters such as return to work, first line investigations, disciplinaries, and performance management. Valid FLT and PPT licence Great communicator Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Good level of both written and spoken English Solid level of numeracy Excellent track record of managing teams; building capability, addressing any issues effectively and in compliance with legislative and company policies and procedures.
