Training and Education Officer (Hiring Event)

About this role

MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Experience using oral and written communication skills to convey information. Experience working in a collaborative environment as part of a team to manage requirements and/or expectations of stakeholders. Experience analyzing relevant information or data to support a recommendation. Experience creating accurate and comprehensive course documentation (e.g., lesson plans, facilitator guides, course design guides, etc.) to meet training needs.

Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas) and eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Captivate, Storyline, Lectora). EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Human Performance Improvement, Adult Learning, Adult Continuing Education, Human Capital Management, Educational or I/O Psychology, or a related field.

-OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience in the development, evaluation, and/or implementation of training and educational programs, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience.

Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in the development, evaluation, and/or implementation of training and educational programs, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: Experience in leading teams and/or projects.
