Technical Delivery Manager

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: Approximately 3 months Work Setup: Hybrid (3 days per week in office) Clearance Required: BPSS eligibility Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Technical Delivery Manager to support the strategic design, implementation, and continuous evolution of critical technology and cybersecurity programmes within the Chief Information Security Office (CISO) function.
This role will drive the successful delivery of complex technology initiatives, enabling engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise governance, regulatory requirements, and security standards. The Technical Delivery Manager will act as the key interface between business stakeholders, engineering teams, product owners, architects, and senior leadership to ensure efficient planning, prioritisation, and execution of strategic initiatives.
The successful candidate will bring extensive experience managing cross-functional Agile teams, driving process improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across global technology organisations. What you will do: Drive the end-to-end delivery of strategic technology and cybersecurity initiatives across multiple workstreams and engineering teams. Partner with business stakeholders and technology leaders to shape business requirements and translate strategic objectives into actionable delivery plans.
Manage demand intake, prioritisation, delivery planning, and execution of new capabilities and enhancements. Apply appropriate delivery methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches. Identify, manage, and resolve delivery risks, dependencies, and impediments while maintaining programme transparency. Establish and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, show-and-tell sessions, and release planning activities.
Champion Agile ways of working and drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering teams. Promote best practices for backlog management, prioritisation, estimation, Definition of Ready (DoR), Definition of Done (DoD), acceptance criteria, feature management, and sprint execution. Monitor and improve team throughput, quality, predictability, and velocity through data-driven insights and metrics. Partner with Agile Coaches, Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Scrum Masters to enhance Agile maturity and delivery effectiveness.
