You establish core design processes and quality standards that the team follows - Design Work: You ensure the delivery of excellent design by balancing strategic leadership with real craft. 50% of your time: you design alongside the team. 50%: you lead - Coordination: You work closely with the Head of Brand & Design, marketing, and product teams to strategically align design with company objectives. As the translator between business needs and creative execution, you understand what matters for the company, translate that into design priorities, and keep the team focused - Guidance: You coach your team through change with honesty and support while providing clear, constructive feedback.
You mentor with purpose by helping each team member understand not just "what" but "why" - Project Management: You compress timelines and remove blockers to ensure fast execution without sacrificing quality. By identifying what is blocking the team and fixing it, you manage deadlines with precision—not as pressure, but as a way to create focus - AI: You lead the integration of AI into design with eyes open—not as an expert, but as a curious leader who experiments alongside the team to figure out where AI enhances craft and where it doesn't belong - Collaboration: You lead by asking questions and holding regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities, while conducting clear performance reviews and setting objectives together with your team - Resource Management: You balance design excellence with strategic prioritization.
