Join SIXT's Franchise team in Lisbon as our new Tax Expert Franchise (m/f/d) and take ownership of all tax-related matters across our international franchise network. You'll work closely with franchise colleagues and external advisors to ensure tax compliance, review withholding tax certificates, and support our franchisees with complex tax questions. This role combines technical tax expertise with cross-functional coordination, making you the go-to expert for franchise tax matters across multiple countries.

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT You conduct reviews of foreign withholding tax (WHT) certificates, reconciling them with franchise agreements You analyze tax reports prepared by external advisors for various franchise countries, assess our tax obligations, ensure compliance, and prepare summaries for franchise colleagues You handle tax-related contract reviews and identify opportunities to optimize fee structures and contract terms to minimize future tax obligations You coordinate internally with franchise colleagues and leadership, supporting negotiations with franchisees regarding WHT treatment, assisting with necessary corrections, and collecting required information You manage relationships with local tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions and coordinate with external advisors on registration obligations and country-specific requirements You oversee ongoing foreign VAT compliance, respond to tax audit inquiries, and monitor international tax developments while providing strategic recommendations on implications for the franchise network YOUR SKILLS MATTER Tax Expertise You bring at least 3 years of hands-on experience in international tax, with deep knowledge of withholding tax and VAT across multiple jurisdictions Technical Foundation You're proficient in Excel and ideally have experience with SAP, enabling you to analyze complex tax data efficiently Language Skills You speak fluent English, with additional languages being a valuable plus Independent Mindset You work proactively and autonomously, taking ownership of your deliverables while knowing when to escalate and collaborate Communication Skills You confidently coordinate with senior franchise leadership, external/local advisors, and stakeholders across countries, translating complex tax matters into clear recommendations International Tax Law You possess strong knowledge of cross-border tax regulations and thrive in navigating the complexity of diverse jurisdictions WHAT WE OFFER The SIXT Lisbon Experience Two of Lisbon's most exciting hubs — Factory Lisboa in Beato and ARTs Lisboa in Parque das Nações — are where you'll find your new home base.
