Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) administering, troubleshooting, sustaining, and recovering information technology systems - end-user devices, standalone or mission-specific systems, servers, or cloud-hosted services - including configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management; (2) applying cybersecurity and information assurance requirements to systems under the applicant's administration, to include access control, vulnerability remediation, and security configuration compliance; (3) delivering IT and information management services to an assigned user population across multiple network enclaves, to include video teleconferencing and mission or business applications; and (4) serving as a technical lead, work leader, supervisor, or senior technical authority for other IT personnel - to include assigning or reviewing the technical work of others, establishing technical standards or procedures, or training and mentoring other IT staff.
