Supply Chain Quality Engineer - MAIT

The holder of this position will have duties towards the development of suppliers and support to the Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and test function. Key Responsibilities: In the Supply Chain Quality area Provide inputs for Supplier / Subcontractor quality requirements for Proposals, and Contracts.
Perform surveillance activities of contract execution for what it pertains Quality Aspects. Engage with Suppliers /. Subcontractors on the resolution of Non conformances Participate and contribute in contracted Quality and Engineering gates. Accept subcontracted products and deliverables through the participation of Delivery Review Boards and the provision of certificates of acceptance. In the MAIT Quality Area Planning & Execution of Quality Inspections: In collaboration with the MAIT and Product Assurance team, define and execute inspection control activities at: Incoming Key stages of manufacturing, assembly, integration & testing.
Before release to customers or next integration phase. Nonconformance Management Support the detection, documentation and containment of nonconformances. Assist in Material Review Board (MRB) activities and follow up on rework or repair implementation and verification. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions in coordination with engineering and MAIT. Quality Assurance support in MAIT Operations: Provide day-to-day quality support to MAIT.
Review and approve MAIT procedures. Monitor and enforce compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, space and aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100). Qualification of Special processes based in EN9100 (e.g: welding, Non-Destructive Testing, etc). Desirable experience with welding. Train MAIT staff on quality procedures and best practices. Calibration coordination. Continuous Improvement: Lead quality improvement projects to enhance process stability and product quality.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to improve product quality. Analyze quality data and generate reports to track trends and identify areas for improvement. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality assurance role, preferably in aerospace, space, defense, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
