SUPERVISORY PROGRAM ANALYST
About this role
Conditions of Employment: Travel by regularly scheduled commercial or military conveyance in accordance with Joint Travel regulations may be required in performance of temporary duty. Incumbent will occasionally be required temporary duty throughout the world including remote locations with limited facilities. These temporary duty assignments could range from short durations to 30 days, and longer, but are typically less than 30 days.
While every effort will be made to schedule these assignments well in advance of the travel, travel may be required with extremely limited notice. It is imperative that the incumbent have an unlimited ability to perform such travel. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions- Management and Program Analysis (0343) SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems.
Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of the comprehensive range of joint and service specific operations / doctrine, joint targeting processes as well as the Joint Force Commander's / Joint Force Land Component Commander's / Joint Force Air Component Commander's (JFC/JFLCC/JFACC) Decision Cycle and battle rhythm. Knowledge of policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning the program management process and Initiatives; safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of the processes for planning, coordinating, and executing training through the Joint Training System (JTS) methodology, to include Universal Joint Task List (UJTL), mission-essential tasks (METs), and the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) process. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
