Supervisory Personnel Psychologist
About this role
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Psychometrics & Testing Theory: Applying Item Response Theory (IRT), Classical Test Theory (CTT), and Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) models to conduct applied research in Personnel Psychology; Test System Development: Leading the design, development, evaluation, and implementation of large-scale computer-based testing systems for cognitive and non-cognitive assessments; and Executive Leadership & Advisory: Managing complex technical programs or research projects, providing supervisory or technical direction to scientific personnel, and delivering technical briefings or research findings on aptitude testing to executive leadership or scientific review bodies.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. In addition to meeting qualifications, your application package must demonstrate that you meet the following Individual Occupational Requirements for the 0180 series: Degree: major or equivalent in psychology. *NOTE: Failure to provide transcripts will result in you being rated ineligible for this position.
