Conditions of Employment continued... The position will be required to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance eligibility with sensitive compartmented information (SCI) access, based upon a Single Scope Background Investigation. Investigative standards must be in accordance with applicable regulation before access can be granted and duties performed. Safeguards classified and sensitive information. This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
As a mandatory requirement for employment, the incumbent is to refrain from the use of illegal drugs and, if requested, submit to urinalysis testing. Appointee must sign a statement acknowledging the position occupied as a Testing Designated Position. This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations. Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternative for filling of the position during an emergency are not available.
This is a Mission Essential (ME) position performing a Mission Critical Function (MCF) which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions. IAW, DoDI 3020-42, Defense Continuity Programs. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series, 0301.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes exceptional ability to translate broad guidance, regarding objectives, into specific actions and directions; Providing expert judgment, which is vital to the accomplishment of USSOCOM SOF Global initiatives in determining the effectiveness of special operations forces (SOF) support to USSOCOM missions on a global scale; Expert at formulating strategies, coordination for operational exercises and support, and liaison with the Joint Staff, DoD, and supported agencies; Subject matter expert on supporting USSOCOM's role as a force-provider to the specific global AORs, ensuring each Theater receives the required critical SOF unique capabilities through the Global Force Management process by providing staff oversight for numerous Request for Forces and corresponding Deployment Orders.
