SUPERVISORY MECHANICAL/AEROSPACE ENGINEER

About this role

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or pay band DP-04 n the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a SUPERVISORY MECHANICAL/AEROSPACE ENGINEER performing duties such as: 1) Serves as an empowered engineer and platform lead for fixed wing or rotorcraft aircraft platforms; 2) Knowledge of flying qualities and flight dynamics concepts, principles, and practices of aeronautical engineering for assigned aircraft platforms; 3) Providing support to engineering activities related to aerodynamics, flight dynamics, and simulation of aircraft, including the analysis and assessment of stability and control, and flying qualities; development of real-time piloted simulations and flight test activities; 4) Understanding of related air vehicle engineering fields such as flight controls, performance and aerodynamics, modeling and simulation, and flight testing; 5) Leading team(s) of multidisciplinary professionals; and 6) Mentoring, training, and/or coaching others.
