About this role

Minimum Qualification Requirements Specialized Experience for the GS-14 One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-13 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments: Experience analyzing data and applying lessons learned to develop policies, establish priorities, and implement procedures for managing grant programs that impact elementary and secondary education programs at the Federal, state, or local levels.

Experience advising senior leaders and leading teams in a school, district, or state educational agency setting on K-12 education policies, principles, and practices. Experience leading technical assistance programs or initiatives in an educational setting to improve educational outcomes, utilizing data-driven approaches to monitor progress, assess effectiveness, and guide continuous improvement efforts. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs).

Knowledge of broad program goals and objectives, the sequence / schedules and timing of key program events and milestones, and methods of evaluating program accomplishments.

Knowledge of Formula and Discretionary Grant education initiatives and other administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of one or more grant programs across federal, state or local government agencies or private sector organizations. Knowledge in the application of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems.

Knowledge of relationships with other programs and key administrative support functions within the Department, federal, state or local government agencies or private sector organizations. Ability to work with schools, state entities, management organizations, and community stakeholders.
