About this role

This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Supervision/Management" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions for series 0132.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: The work requires knowledge of a wide range of intelligence analysis; single and multi-source intelligence tasking, processing, exploitation, and dissemination (TPED); and engineering and physics concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively oversee, manage, and direct highly technical work requiring the application of advanced intelligence analysis capabilities and engineering theories, principles, and concepts to analyze the performance, characteristics, limitations, and vulnerabilities of integrated threat systems and their kill webs.

Extensive knowledge of the many facets of the intelligence analysis process including planning, collecting, processing, exploiting, and dissemination, intelligence tradecraft, and the methodology employed in achieving assessments is required for complex prioritization, coordination, scheduling, and reporting tasks. Broad knowledge of the intelligence community, as well as the force modernization, operation and policy making communities, their interrelationships, responsibilities, and authorities; requires strong technical competence, judgment, leadership, and resourcefulness to conceive and guide the successful conduct and reporting of adversary malware threat assessment projects in the squadron mission area.

Broad knowledge of the mission, role, function, organizational structure, operation, and policy of the DoW, Air Force, the Intelligence Community, and their inter-relationships and operations. Knowledge of technical intelligence analysis and assessments of foreign threat systems and systems-of-systems, concepts and capabilities. Skill and ability to gather and analyze a variety of program information, make sound judgments concerning task progress and effectively communicate, including the presentation of technical problems and results in a logical and concise manner; skill and ability to apply practical thinking skills, attention to detail, balanced decision making, conceptual thinking, consistency, goal directedness, problem and situation analysis, reliability, and theoretical problem solving, emotional control, handling stress, initiative, job ethics, meeting standards, listening skills, personal accountability, commitment and drive.

Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization; and ability to modify standard practices and techniques to solve complex inter-related problems. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy; and skill in presenting organizational and project findings and evaluations clearly, logically and concisely in a variety of verbal, written and graphical formats; ability to collaborate and effectively work within a group setting, maintain effective working relationships with a variety of technical representatives, co-workers, peers, and government contractors.

OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS This position is covered by the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS), and as such will subject the incumbent to those examinations and/or tests that are necessary to obtain and retain a security clearance and any special accesses required by the position in accordance with AFI 36-1101. This position is a testing designated position and as such requires periodic urinalysis testing.

Failure to comply with any of the special requirements, when required, will subject the incumbent of this position to reassignment or disciplinary adverse actions, including demotion or removal. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

A nondisclosure agreement must be signed. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.

Prolonged periods of sitting, reading and intense data analysis are typical. A bachelor's or master's degree in a technical related field is highly desired. The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and or holidays. Overtime and/or emergency overtime may be required. A recall to duty may be required. Incumbent may be subject to psychological screening/polygraph testing as an inherent primary requirement of their position.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
