About this role

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience Experience and mastery of the full range of Naval Command and Control (C2) and the Naval enterprise IT principles, concepts, methods, standards and practices to perform the duties of the ACOS for Information Architecture to include engineering and acquisition.

Experience and knowledge of DON and DoW command structures and management procedures. Experience and knowledge of Federal, interagency, and international relationships and procedures of interest to the Command. Experience and knowledge of Life Cycle Management for very large and complex IT systems, including the development methods prescribed by SECNAV and SECDEF combined with the ability to apply that knowledge. Understanding of IT management practices in accordance with DON, DOW, and Federal guidelines.

Experience and knowledge of the policies and practices of supervision and personnel management to adjust work operations to meet emergency or changing program or production requirements within available resources. Experience and skill in planning and integration of complex IT in an operational environment. Disciplines include scientific data acquisition, data processing, database relationships, data management, networks, communications, satellite data ingest and processing, Navy enterprise core-service compliance, and IT maintenance.

Experience and knowledge with IT budget preparation, justification of personnel requirements1 and an understanding of IT for defense and national purposes. Experience and strong written and oral communication skills are also required as well as an ability to persuasively argue highly technical issues. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
