Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Employee Benefits)
About this role
Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Interpreting and applying federal retirement and employee benefits laws, regulations, policies, and guidance, including programs such as FERS, CSRS, FEHB, FEGLI, TSP, death benefits, survivor benefits, and retirement application processing. Developing, reviewing, or implementing retirement and benefits policies, procedures, guidance, process improvements, program reviews, analytical reports, briefings, or recommendations to ensure compliance, improve service delivery, and advise senior leadership or stakeholders on complex benefits issues.
Leading, supervising, or directing the work of employees or teams by assigning work, setting priorities, reviewing completed work, evaluating performance, resolving operational issues, identifying training needs, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and timelines. You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 10/09/2026.
