About this role
Conditions of Employment: Drug Test requirement was modified to comply with AFI 90-508, Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program, dated 28 Aug 2014. This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing. This position has been designated as a Key Career Position (KCP). The assignment will not be continuing and has an established tour limitation of 36-60 months as determined by the Career Field Team and Career Field Manager. Employees must sign a Memorandum of Understanding including Selection, Restriction, Outplacement, Tour and Mobility Agreement as a condition of employment.
This addendum is effective 1 March 2014 and will be utilized upon incumbent's exit from the position and from that point forward whenever the position is filled. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series 0301.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of DoD, Joint, and USAF structures, missions, programs, policies, and organizational relationships for facilitate effective advancement of Air Force capabilities. Staff experience at MAJCOM, HQ USAF, CJCS and/or OSD is essential and mandatory.
Knowledge of Presidential Executive Orders, Homeland Security Presidential Directives and Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency documents, policy and guidance related to continuity and readiness, emergency preparedness and the national incident management system (NIMS). Knowledge of DoD Directives and Instructions, and Joint Service and Air Force policy, doctrine, regulations and procedures with extensive knowledge of command and control, crisis action processes and procedures, continuity, readiness, emergency preparedness and incident management, and pandemic/disease containment.
