About this role

To qualify for the Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Division Operations Officer) position at the GS-14 grade level, candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.

Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized experience must include all of the following: Initiating, planning, and directing studies, surveys, operational reviews, or other projects to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the division; AND Developing and evaluating procedures or policies, determine the need for and formulate overall plans for special programs and direct their implementation, and oversee overall administrative matters affecting the division's operations and personnel; AND Briefing and providing law enforcement expertise to high level division and Headquarters officials and managers; advising on policy, resource, and standard operating practice standpoints on long- and short-range resources and operating plans; AND Providing leadership to others such as work groups, teams or special projects; AND Reviewing and evaluating the projects and comprehensive reports submitted by subordinate personnel; recommends actions to be taken.
