Supervisory Budget Analyst
About this role
Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Developing and executing complex federal budget plans, including the preparation of detailed budget justifications and the analysis of financial data to support organizational mission requirements. Evaluating the financial feasibility and cost-effectiveness of proposed acquisitions by applying federal acquisition regulations and policies to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
Interpreting and applying complex legislative, policy, and regulatory decisions to develop budgetary guidance and internal controls that prevent fraud, waste, and abuse. Conducting in-depth analyses of budget trends and identifying potential funding gaps to provide actionable recommendations for resource allocation and long-range planning. Mentoring and guiding staff on budget-related matters, including the establishment of performance standards and the resolution of complex administrative or personnel issues.
