SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTANT

About this role

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13/14) grade level or pay band (NM-04) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following 1) Identifying, researching, and resolving complex accounting issues, discrepancies, and process gaps by analyzing relevant financial data, evaluating alternatives, and implementing practical corrective actions; 2) Applying federal accounting standards, fiscal law, and agency financial management policy and accounting principles to daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal control activities; 3) Preparing, reviewing, reconciling, and validating financial statements and/or other financial reports to meet reporting requirements and support management decision-making; and 4) Analyzing and reviewing accounting data, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and performance metrics to identify trends, improve accounting processes and provide recommendations to management.
