SciTec has an immediate opportunity in our Boulder, CO office for a [Staff – Senior] Systems Engineering with experience in microservices architectures, data center designs, and modular open systems architecture.

This engineer will be responsible for elaborating operational concepts, refine requirements, and create architectural designs to support the delivery of a combined hardware/software data processing system. This work will be performed collaboratively with both customer representatives and with SciTec technical staff. Responsibilities Elicit, detail, and document operational concepts and stakeholder needs for the operation of a MOSA architecture hosting high-performance data processing applications.

Development and analysis of system requirements which address identified stakeholder needs. Support to SciTec development teams in the design of system architectures which meet established requirements and align with customer concepts of operations. Coordination with integration, verification, and test teams to support requirements verification and validation. Documenting operational concepts, stakeholder needs, system requirements, and system architectures using Model-Based Systems Engineering tools Additional duties as required and assigned Requirements Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance A Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline At least 2 years of relevant work experience in software engineering, high-performance computing, or remote sensing data processing Demonstrated work experience in executing IEEE 15288 systems engineering processes Demonstrated familiarity with the use of Model Based Systems Engineering within a systems engineering organization, particularly the Cameo Tool suite Demonstrated work experience as a technical team leader Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred A current security clearance, ideally a current TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information Academic credentials or industry certification (e.g.
