Most of the work sits in two areas: SaaS subscription accounting, which is the priority, and marketplace billing, credits, and reconciliations. The work is precise and deadline-driven, and other people’s work depends on yours. We want someone who wants to improve how the team works, not just keep it running.
Training is provided, so you don’t need to know our systems or processes on day one. You do need the fundamentals, a habit of checking your own work, and enough initiative to fix a process that’s slow or unclear. The team is small and runs close to the wire, so you’ll have real responsibility early. Where you’ll work This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our Irving, Texas, head office. You’ll be in the office three days a week, with Wednesday a mandatory in-office day for the whole team.
The other two in-office days are flexible, and you’ll work remotely on the remaining two days. Typical hours are 9 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate personal needs. What you’ll be doing - Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analyses on schedule, in line with the close calendar. - Own day-to-day SaaS accounting operations, which is the team’s top priority. - Support marketplace billing and credit operations, including the reconciliations that go with them.
- Help design and implement accounting processes that produce accurate reporting faster, with the goal of shortening the close. - Write and update SOPs that set out weekly, monthly, and annual accounting tasks and deadlines. - Support external auditors during the annual review of our financial records. - Take on ad hoc analyses for audit, tax, and due diligence projects, and deliver them on time. What you’ll need - Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
