Remote
Sr. Growth Marketing Manager, AI Discovery
About this role
Chainguard is the trusted source for open source. By delivering hardened, secure, and production-ready builds of all the open source software engineers and AI agents rely on, Chainguard helps organizations build faster, stay compliant, and eliminate risk. Our customers include Fortune 500 enterprises and global industry leaders, including Anduril, Canva, Fortinet, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, OpenAI, Snap Inc., and Snowflake.
Chainguard is venture-backed by leading investors, including Amplify, IVP, Kleiner Perkins, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Mantis VC, Redpoint Ventures, Sequoia Capital, and Spark Capital. The role, in a nutshell: Developers find tools by searching, by asking an LLM, and, more and more, by prompting a coding agent to do the work. We’re hiring a technical Sr. Growth Marketing Manager to make sure that across all three, Chainguard gets discovered, recommended, and used.
This is a builder role measured on signups and pipeline, not rankings or mentions. It’s also highly cross-functional. You’ll work daily with Product, Product Marketing, Growth, Web, and Paid Media, and you’ll drive the work forward, not wait on it. What you’ll do: Own search. Run Chainguard’s SEO program end to end: keyword strategy, content, programmatic pages, and technical optimization. Partner with Web and PMM to turn high-intent traffic into signups, demos, and pipeline.
Agent as researcher. Get ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews to surface and recommend Chainguard. Your levers are content, structured data, and the third-party sources models learn from. Track how often we’re cited and recommended, and grow it. Agent as user. Make Chainguard the default choice when Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex picks tools for a developer. Map the agent adoption journey (discover, auth, pull, build, verify) and remove friction at every step.
Partner with Product to build and maintain our MCP server, Agent Skills, plugins, CLAUDE.md / AGENTS.md snippets, llms.txt, and agent-readable quickstarts, and keep them listed where agents look. Measure what works. Run evals of real developer prompts across models and coding agents to learn which assets actually get Chainguard recommended and used. Build attribution that ties organic, AI-referred, and agent-originated signups to pipeline.
