Specialist Development Engineer
About this role
As a Specialist Development Engineer, you will apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to propose, design, conduct, and oversee experiments and projects within our Research and Development team. Located at our European Headquarters in Oegstgeest, you will focus on testing chemistry, adhesives, coatings, and materials to generate innovative ideas, write project plans, and deliver high-quality solutions that support product development and continuous growth.
Main focus is adhesive development using emulsion acrylic adhesive chemistry. Key Responsibilities Propose, design, prioritize, conduct, and oversee statistical sets of experiments and test methods for adhesives, coatings, and materials. Develop project plans, establish timelines, and allocate resources to deliver on core R&D product development objectives. Present research findings, data insights, and technical recommendations clearly to cross-functional business leaders.
Research and develop new materials to drive growth, cost reduction, yield enhancement, and product quality improvements. Monitor advances in emerging technologies, industry patents, and new applications to continuously nurture innovation. Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Proven experience in experimental design, laboratory testing, and statistical data analysis.
