Your responsibilities As an Software Engineer (all genders), you will develop features and technical components independently. You will coordinate interfaces, evaluate solutions and reliably see your work through to release. Your impact in practice: Technical Impact: You’ll develop front-end components, services or APIs independently, whilst keeping an eye on the overall system. Business Impact: You weigh up benefits, effort, maintainability and security against one another and propose workable solutions.
Collaboration Impact: You clarify interfaces with UX, Design, Delivery and other engineers and identify dependencies at an early stage. Delivery Impact: You validate changes through testing and reviews and see them through from CI/CD right up to release. Ownership & Communication: You plan your technical area of responsibility, address risks and explain decisions clearly. Growth & Capability: You share knowledge with junior engineers and continue to develop your expertise towards becoming a full-stack engineer.
Why you You have already independently implemented features in production web applications or digital platforms. You have a strong specialism in one area: for example, TypeScript with Vue/Nuxt, React or Angular on the front end, or Java/Spring Boot, Kotlin or Node.js on the back end. Other tech stacks are also welcome. You have practical experience with APIs, Git, automated testing and databases. You can structure tasks, identify dependencies and explain technical decisions clearly.
