Role Outschool is looking for full-stack Software Engineers to develop and improve our suite of products to help parents, learners, and educators to engage in love of learning, all through an agentic-first development paradigm. There is a wide variety of exciting and high-impact engineering challenges for the right candidate from smart UI to personalization to AI assistance to data optimization to tooling to platforms.

We’re hiring across levels - from early-career SWEs through senior architects - and will scope the role based on your experience, strengths, and the problems that inspire you and where you can have the biggest impacts. Core Responsibilities: Drive complex, high-impact engineering initiatives across a variety of product innovation areas Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering leadership to align on roadmap priorities, technical tradeoffs, risks, and execution strategy Demonstrate AI-native development mindset leveraging fully agentic development workflows, while also contributing to establishing principles and best practices on AI development For senior roles, mentor engineers and influence technical direction across teams through strong collaboration, communication, and domain expertise Participate in standups, sprint planning, retros, production deployments, and on-call rotations Desired Experience & Skills: Professional software engineering experience; level will be determined based on experience and scope.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for equity and benefits. Additional details are provided during the interview process. For Canadian-based candidates, compensation range for this role is USD 90,000 - USD 229,500 CAD annually. This role is available in the following US Pay Zones: US Tiers US Tier 1: San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, and Seattle Metro US Tier 2: All California excluding San Francisco Bay Area, Boston Metro, Chicago Metro, Denver Metro, Austin Metro, Portland Metro US Tier 3: All other cities and states US Pay Zones US Tier 1: USD 130,500 - USD 291,600 US Tier 2: USD 110,925 - USD 247,860 US Tier 3: USD 97,875 - USD 218,700 Benefits & Culture: At Outschool, we believe that taking care of one another enables us to do our best work.
