The team manages borrower relationships across SME Debt Finance, Specialty Finance and Fund Finance, ensuring strong portfolio performance, assessing in-life credit events, and supporting high-quality client outcomes.
Role Purpose The Associate Director (AD) will own and lead borrower relationships across an assigned SME lending portfolio, ensuring strong portfolio performance, proactive risk management, and high-quality client engagement. The role requires analytical strength, sound judgement, and the ability to structure solutions that balance commercial, and risk considerations. Key Responsibilities Portfolio & Relationship Management Lead the relationship with an allocated portfolio of borrowers, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring a high-quality client experience.
Conduct quarterly client calls/meetings, including reviewing MI and providing follow-up actions. Identify opportunities to deepen relationships or develop new lending opportunities. Risk, Compliance & Monitoring Own portfolio compliance: timely collection of MI, covenant testing, annual reviews, KYC refresh, and ensuring no overdue portfolio actions. Lead early identification and escalation of underperformance, arrears, emerging risks or covenant pressure.
