Senior/Staff SRE
About this role
UFORCE exists to make aggression unaffordable. Founded in Ukraine and headquartered in London, UFORCE is a defence-technology company with operations across Europe, the United States and Asia. UFORCE builds uncrewed vessels, ground robotics and aircraft, autonomy software, and the command-and-control layer that operates them together. Each platform is deployable on its own, and stronger as part of the system. Its product lines include the MAGURA family of uncrewed surface vessels, the NEMESIS family of strike platforms, the LIUT family of ground robotic platforms, and counter-UAS systems.
About the role UFORCE is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help build and operate the cloud infrastructure platform behind our sovereign mission operations teams. You’ll make it safer and easier to deploy, upgrade, and run UFORCE services in on-premises environments, including sites with limited or no internet connectivity. You’ll combine hands-on infrastructure engineering with practical operational ownership: automating deployments, strengthening reliability, and making sure customer IT and partner operations teams can run the platform with confidence.
You’ll work closely with Platform Engineering, Security, and customer-facing teams, with a focus on solutions that are secure, supportable, and usable in the field. What you’ll do Build and improve deployment and maintenance automation for on-premises environments, including infrastructure as code, packaging, environment validation, and preflight checks. Make releases and upgrades work reliably in offline or restricted-network settings: manage artifacts and versioning, define validation gates, and document staged rollout and rollback procedures.
Develop repeatable deployment patterns for VM-based, Kubernetes-based, and mixed environments, and document when and how to handle deviations. Establish and maintain an observability baseline for constrained environments, including useful metrics, logs, alerts, and dashboards. Make alerts actionable and link them to clear runbooks. Define and operationalize service-level objectives and change-safety practices such as smoke tests, rollout checks, and rollback-first procedures.
