Location(s): US (remote), Boston (hybrid), or New York (hybrid) Bready * to make a change? Toast is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build innovative solutions on the web to expand how guests interact with our consumer-facing digital dining product, Toast Local. You’ll join a team of frontend, backend, and native mobile engineers working together to create the best digital restaurant experience for guests. About this roll * (Responsibilities) Lead the team’s work on the web, from guest-facing features to the restaurant tools that support them Build cross-platform experiences alongside iOS, Android, and backend engineers Work across the stack , from React and Next.js on the front end to the services behind it Experiment directly with guests and restaurants to test new dining experiences Ship code that drives the growth and strategy of Toast’s consumer business Do you have the right ingredients *? (Requirements) 5+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer Strong frontend experience building modern web applications with React and TypeScript; Next.js a plus Backend experience building GraphQL or REST APIs; Kotlin/Java a plus Ownership of your work from start to finish: shipping it, launching it, monitoring the rollout, and analyzing the results A point of view on consumer products and a desire to shape what gets built, not just how Proven track record of leading technical projects with cross-team impact and cross-functional collaboration Special sauce * (Nice to haves) Experience with native frontend development for iOS or Android AI at Toast At Toast, one of our company values is that we're hungry to build and learn.

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.
