Senior Scrum Master (m/w/d)
About this role
As Scrum Master, you'll be the go-to reference for the team on all things Agile. You'll make sure everyone understands and applies the Scrum methodology, help the team get the most out of each sprint, and shield them from anything that gets in the way of good work, whether that's internal noise or outside pressure. You'll coach the project team and work closely with business stakeholders, helping everyone understand what kind of interaction actually helps the team move forward (and what doesn't).
What you'll do: Project follow-up Act as delivery owner across squads Set up and run the key Scrum ceremonies: Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and other team meetings Plan and track the key milestones of the methodology Make sure Scrum is applied smoothly, and help the team work through any obstacles Support the Product Owner with the Product Backlog Help the team deliver on the Definition of Done, Sprint Backlog, and related deliverables Track team capacity and velocity to support planning and progress tracking Coaching & methodology Coach and challenge the team to keep raising the bar Help the team navigate difficulties and grow more self-organized over time Remove blockers and protect the team from outside distractions Champion Agile practices across the organization Report to management on how well Scrum is being applied across projects Manage risks and issues as they come up At least 6 years in a relevant role Technical background: Comfortable with Agile reporting and tracking tools (e.g.
Jira) Familiar with automated unit/functional testing and CI tooling Solid grasp of software development and project management methodologies Able to balance Agile coaching with real delivery ownership Experience in large organizations, comfortable managing dependencies in complex environments Experience working with multicultural teams A strong Agile mindset Languages: Strong English, plus at least one local language (Dutch / French).
Business background: Expert-level knowledge of Agile methods and techniques (e.g. Kanban) Experience managing multiple dependencies in complex organizations Soft skills: Team player, comfortable in multicultural settings Strong communicator Well-organized Enjoys sharing knowledge You'll be working alongside a cross-functional and multicultural project team of developers, analysts, testers, and business stakeholders in a dynamic environment where collaboration and continuous improvement are part of the daily routine.
