Position Overview The Senior Manager, Business Process Automation Engineering leads the strategy, design, development, deployment, and support of enterprise automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance business outcomes across Adaptive. This role is responsible for building and leading a high-performing automation engineering team while establishing governance, standards, and best practices for automation development and operations.

Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Build, lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Business Process Automation engineering team Establish team objectives, success metrics, and development plans aligned with company goals Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, customer focus, and continuous improvement Manage hiring, performance management, succession planning, and career development activities Establish engineering standards, delivery processes, and operational best practices Automation Strategy & Digital Transformation Develop and execute an enterprise-wide automation strategy aligned with business priorities Identify, evaluate, and prioritize high-value automation opportunities across departments Create and maintain a multi-year automation roadmap Partner with business and technology leaders to drive digital transformation initiatives Evaluate emerging automation and AI technologies and recommend solutions that deliver business value Solution Delivery Lead all phases of automation development including process discovery, solution design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support Ensure automation solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, reusable, and compliant with enterprise standards Oversee end-to-end delivery of automation projects using UiPath and related platforms Drive continuous optimization and enhancement of existing automation solutions Participate in release planning, deployment activities, and platform lifecycle management Business Partnership Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational processes and identify automation opportunities Facilitate process discovery and process improvement workshops Translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions Communicate project status, risks, outcomes, and ROI to senior leadership Collaborate closely with IT, Security, Compliance, and business teams to ensure successful adoption Governance & Operational Excellence Establish and maintain automation governance frameworks, standards, and development lifecycle processes Define coding standards, documentation requirements, testing practices, and code review procedures Develop reusable automation components, frameworks, and accelerators Ensure compliance with security, audit, privacy, and regulatory requirements Manage platform lifecycle activities including upgrades, licensing, environment management, and platform health monitoring AI & Intelligent Automation Evaluate and implement AI capabilities that enhance business process automation Integrate technologies such as Document Understanding, OCR, generative AI, and machine learning into automation workflows Identify opportunities to evolve from task automation to intelligent process automation Stay current on emerging AI and automation technologies and assess their applicability to Adaptive's business needs Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related field with 10+ years of experience in software engineering, automation engineering, enterprise applications, or related technical disciplines, including leadership experience Experience building and leading technical engineering teams Hands-on experience with enterprise automation platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, or similar technologies Experience delivering large-scale automation initiatives from strategy through production support Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), automation architecture, governance, and operational best practices Experience with programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, or similar Experience integrating enterprise systems through APIs, web services, and modern integration frameworks Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences Experience operating within cross-functional environments and partnering with business leaders to drive change Preferred UiPath certifications and experience managing enterprise UiPath environments Experience with intelligent automation, AI/ML technologies, OCR, and generative AI solutions Experience establishing or leading an Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) Experience supporting highly regulated environments with strong security and compliance requirements Experience with cloud-based services, modern architecture patterns, and enterprise platforms Working Conditions Office environment Travel as required, up to 10% Compensation Salary Range: $163,100 - $244,700 Other Compensation May Include: Equity grant Annual bonus eligibility #LI-Remote ALERT: Malicious groups posing as Adaptive employees have recently used fraudulent email aliases to extend employment offers, provide fake documents, and request sensitive personal and financial information.
