(Senior) Full-Stack Robotics Software Engineer (m/f/d) VLA & Humanoid Robotics

About this role

The AI Teams at Agile Robots are looking for a ( Senior) Full-Stack Robotics Software Engineer (m/f/d) , who will build and maintain the software stack that runs vision-language-action (VLA) models on humanoid and industrial robots. You will help make sure VLA models run reliably once they reach these robots. Responsibilities VLA Integration: Integrate VLA models into the robots' software stack to drive manipulation and task execution on humanoid and industrial platforms.

Software Architecture: Design and implement software components and architectures for AI-enhanced robotics applications. Platform Integration: Develop applications that keep working across a changing set of robots and sensors. Stack Maintenance: Review and maintain the shared software stack used across humanoid and close-to-industry robot projects. Research Integration: Track new developments in robotics and AI software, and bring promising external components into the stack alongside in-house development.

Essential Skills Background: Degree in robotics, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent qualification, together with around four years building software for robotic systems. VLA Models: Hands-on experience building or integrating vision-language-action models on physical robots. Core Stack: Proficiency in C++, CMake, Python, shell scripting, and Git for building and maintaining production robotics software.

ROS 2: Experience building robot software on ROS 2. Beneficial Skills Robot Platforms: Experience working with dual-arm or humanoid robot platforms.
