PROJECT OVERVIEW Join our international team and help build software for one of Deutsche Telekom Group’s largest projects. Our solutions support around 30 million customers in Germany who request fiber network access, order products, and track fiber installation for homes and businesses. The Gigabit Business System is a digital platform supporting end-to-end marketing, sales, ordering, and fulfillment processes for fiber connectivity.
It enables presales before infrastructure rollout, customer-driven network expansion, real-time activation for connected homes, and other innovative services. We work internationally across more than 30 agile teams. The project follows SAFe principles and is transitioning to LeSS. We deliver MVPs and continuously improve our products based on customer and internal feedback. WHAT WILL YOU DO? We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Developer to join the Falcon scrum team.
The role is primarily backend-focused, but you should also be willing to work on frontend tasks depending on the backlog. You will develop and maintain microservices for ordering and commissioning fiber internet connections and contribute to responsive, user-friendly web applications. Team: Sapsan / Falcon Skill level: Senior Backend Developer with frontend experience Working mode: Scrum / SAFe, transitioning to LeSS Language: English Location: Development and QA in Slovakia; PO and Process Designer in Germany Travel: International travel at least once per year On-call duty: Release support, including nights or weekends when required Microservice Development: Design and implement backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot API Development: Develop and maintain REST APIs according to Deutsche Telekom IT REST Guidelines, including OpenAPI specifications, versioning, and breaking change management Process Orchestration: Work with BPMN process engines such as Camunda 7/8 or jBPM System Integration: Integrate systems through REST APIs and event-driven communication using Kafka or AMQ Resilience & Reliability: Apply retries, idempotency, circuit breakers, timeout management, and graceful failure handling Monitoring & Observability: Implement logging, metrics, monitoring, and distributed tracing Code Quality & Testing: Write unit and integration tests, review code, and support automated vulnerability scanning Frontend Development: Develop and maintain Angular applications with a focus on performance and responsiveness UI Implementation: Translate UI/UX designs into working frontend features TECHNOLOGY STACK Java, Spring Boot JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular JUnit, Mockito, WireMock Maven, GitLab, PostgreSQL Sonar, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus Docker, Kubernetes, Argo, Lens Camunda, BPMN, and AWS knowledge is an advantage YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU : Have 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework Have experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Angular Understand CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and change/configuration management processes Have experience with JUnit and are familiar with testing frameworks such as Mockito and WireMock Have a solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git (GitLab), including pipeline configuration Possess strong SQL skills, especially with PostgreSQL Demonstrate excellent communication, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills Communicate confidently in English at a B2 level or higher Experience with code quality and static analysis tools such as SonarQube Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Experience with Business Process Management (BPM) and workflow automation tools such as Camunda or jBPM Knowledge of AWS cloud services and architecture Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE US?
