OUR CLIENT An independent global news organization in the news media and news agency industry dedicated to factual reporting. Founded in 1846, today it remains the most trusted source of fast, accurate, unbiased news in all formats and the essential provider of the technology and services vital to the news business. More than half the world’s population sees its journalism every day. JOB SUMMARY You will be one of the senior engineers building a new headless front-end for one of the most visited news sites in the world.

The team has an aggressive goal of launching a first page early next year. You will shape the architecture, set front-end standards, and work with AI-assisted workflows in the news media industry. RESPONSIBILITIES - Design and build the new headless front-end architecture. - Deliver the initial launch page within the early-next-year schedule. - Establish front-end standards, component patterns, testing frameworks, and code review processes.

- Maintain ownership of performance, Core Web Vitals, SEO, and accessibility. - Connect user interfaces with headless CMS platforms and internal APIs. - Mentor team members and collaborate closely with the Core Web engineering manager. - Implement and refine AI-driven agentic workflows across the development lifecycle. QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS - 5+ years in senior front-end engineering. - Advanced React, Next.js (App Router) and TypeScript.
