Senior Frontend Engineer
About this role
👷🏻♀️ WHAT WE DO 👷🏻♀️ At Emidat, we are building the first climate-native product management system for building material manufacturers. We aim to decarbonise building materials, which make up 11% of global GHG emissions. We collect data from physical production processes, generate a digital product passport with verified environmental data and make it usable along the value chain. In short: One solution to assess, design, buy, sell and manage products - with environmental impact at the core.
With this, we are building the digital infrastructure to make it faster, easier, and more sustainable to build the world around us. You will build a basis upon which all other team members can do high-quality frontend contributions, at scale. You will leverage your experience in web development to teach and mentor your peers, becoming the go-to person for all frontend-related topics. You will bring perspective how agentic user interfaces will influence web development, and act as the key player in building towards this future. As a Senior Engineer on this team, you’ll own the full product loop; discovery conversations, forming hypotheses, shipping, and measuring.
You will partner with our ‘Product Design’ team to evolve our design system, utilising your strong understanding of what makes up great design and UX. IN THE FIRST 6 MONTHS, YOU WILL - Ownership: Take full ownership over complex, ambiguous projects: define requirements, navigate trade-offs, and drive delivery. Specifically, building out the capabilities of “Emigo”, our home-grown AI assistant, and ship agentic user interfaces that transform how our customers get work done with Emidat.
- Building: Prototype and develop new applications from zero to one that unlock new value for our customers. - Evangelism: Take technical ownership of our component library, including maintaining components and contributions, expanding documentation, and evangelizing its use across the team. - Mentorship: Coach other engineers on system architecture and web fundamentals, as well as help us invest in tooling, processes, and abstractions that multiply the team's output.
