We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Infrastructure team, which is responsible for Patreon’s Infrastructure. The team’s mission is to keep Patreon's engineering org fast and reliable. This role location is open to fully Remote or to those who are able to be in-office 3 days per week on a hybrid work model in New York or San Francisco. About the Team You'll own the roadmap and execution across the platform, balancing "keep the site up" reliability work with "make every engineer faster" investment.
About the Role - Manage and grow ICs; own hiring, performance, and career development for your org. - Own operational excellence: observability standards, on-call structure, incident response, SLAs/SLOs, and the Production Readiness Reviews (PRR). - Partner closely with Product Engineering, Security, and Data leaders so infrastructure and tooling decisions don't become a bottleneck for product delivery About You - Required: - 10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in engineering management, ideally with experience managing managers or senior ICs across multiple teams - Direct experience leading infrastructure, platform, or developer-productivity teams supporting a consumer product at scale - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tooling - Comfort operating scalable production systems with high availability and performance requirements - Nice to Have: - Experience standing up or scaling developer tooling (CI/CD, testing platforms, internal dev environments) - Exposure to AI-assisted software development.
