Senior Engineer

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: December 18, 2026 Work set up: Hybrid (2 days per week in office) Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Senior Engineer to support the development and enhancement of customer-facing identity and commerce platforms within a global streaming technology environment. This role will contribute to delivering seamless customer experiences across multiple streaming services, supporting customer acquisition, authentication, account management, and third-party integrations.
The successful candidate will work within a distributed international team and leverage modern web technologies to build scalable, high-quality solutions. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain customer-facing applications using React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js. Build scalable solutions supporting identity, authentication, and commerce platform capabilities. Implement integrations with third-party partners and in-app purchase platforms.
Develop and maintain GraphQL services and APIs. Apply test-driven development practices to ensure high-quality software delivery. Create and execute unit tests and automated test suites. Collaborate with product, engineering, and platform teams to define and deliver technical solutions. Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Utilize CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools including Jenkins and Concourse CI.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application issues and performance bottlenecks. Ensure code quality through peer reviews, testing, and adherence to engineering standards. Contribute to the development of self-service customer account management capabilities. Proven experience developing modern web applications using React.js and Next.js. Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js development. Experience designing and consuming GraphQL APIs and services.
Demonstrated experience with unit testing and test-driven development methodologies. Familiarity with agile software development practices and frameworks. Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Concourse CI. Knowledge of automated testing frameworks, including Microsoft Playwright. Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and code quality standards. Ability to collaborate effectively within distributed and cross-functional teams.
