Senior Electronics Engineer (All Gender)
About this role
At Stark, we forge the future of European and national security through cutting-edge, AI-driven technology and unmatched engineering precision. As a premier defence technology company, our mission is clear: to equip NATO Allies and their partners with next-generation autonomous defence platforms and advanced AI-driven software built to perform in the world’s most demanding environments. We believe that true security stems from relentless innovation.
By combining elite engineering talent with agile technology and an AI-native operational culture, Stark turns complex defence challenges into field-tested, multi-domain solutions. Why Join Us? The software and systems you work on directly protect personnel and defend European and national sovereignty. You will work alongside industry-leading minds on autonomous systems, advanced propulsion, and secure cyber platforms.
We foster a fast-paced, collaborative environment where bold ideas are supported by serious R&D backing. STARK is a European defence technology company building the next generation of unmanned systems. Determinism, hardware-level security, and sub-millisecond reaction times are the backbone of our airborne computing architecture. Your Mission You own the electrical subsystem architecture of the Gambit platform — from high-voltage propulsion distribution down to precision sensor power rails and flight computer avionics.
You aren't just designing a circuit board; you are building the nervous system and power backbone that keeps an aircraft stable and responsive under extreme flight loads and environmental stress. Responsibilities Architect power distribution boards (PDB), avionics motherboards, sensor interface cards, and payload power supplies. Design multi-layer, high-density PCBs adhering to strict mass, thermal, and IPC-2221/IPC-A-610 standards.
Own component selection, derating calculations, and power tree efficiency optimizations. Lead electrical integration, EMC/EMI shielding strategy, and ground-loop elimination across high-current powertrain and sensitive RF avionics. Define and document electrical ICDs interfacing powertrain, compute, datalink, and payload. Mentor junior and mid-level electrical engineers through design reviews and lab bring-up. Required Skills 5–8 years of experience in hardware development, electronics design, and PCB layout for aerospace, robotics, or automotive applications.
