We’re looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join our Infrastructure team and help build and maintain reliable, high-performance database systems at scale.

You’ll work on challenging technical problems, drive improvements in database reliability and performance, and contribute to the infrastructure powering Tabby ’s growing business. Key Responsibilities: Design, construct, install, and maintain large relational databases. Maintain the integrity and security of the database, including backups and recovery procedures. Implement and manage disaster recovery and failover systems.

Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required. Optimize queries for performance. Collaborate with development teams to optimize database usage. Set up and maintain database replication, clustering, mirroring, and other high availability strategies. Use and understand tools like PgBouncer and modern monitoring systems. Stay up to date with the latest database technologies and best practices.

What you’ll bring: Proven hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (required), including setup, replication, upgrades, monitoring, and performance tuning. Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries. Experience with backup and recovery strategies, including Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR). Strong understanding of database design, documentation, and development best practices. Experience with ClickHouse is a plus. Working knowledge of scripting/programming languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
