As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the data platform powering Bondora’s journey towards becoming a bank. You’ll be responsible for our Databricks platform, Azure infrastructure, ingestion pipelines, and integration layer.
Our platform already works well; your mission will be to make it exceptional through strong ownership, reliable engineering, clear governance, and scalable standards. This is a rare opportunity to shape how data engineering is done across the company. You won’t simply maintain pipelines—you’ll define the platform, standards, tools, and ways of working that enable teams to build trusted data products across Marketing, Operations, Identity, and Finance.

Your main responsibilities will be: Own and continuously improve our Databricks data platform and supporting Azure infrastructure.
Build, maintain, and scale reliable production data pipelines and ingestion processes. Act as first responder for data platform incidents, including cross-platform issues that surface as data quality problems. Improve platform performance, security, secrets management, observability, and cost efficiency. Strengthen data governance through clear ownership, access and PII management, and the identification of orphaned jobs.
