Senior Data Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE Join an early analytics function at an AI/ML startup and own its data foundation across the warehouse, production pipelines, BI, and conversion tracking. Your work will shape business decisions and the data used to optimize advertising performance. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Design and operate the ClickHouse warehouse, including schemas, ingestion, backfills, and performance improvements. - Build reliable Python pipelines from databases, payment systems, collaboration tools, and advertising platforms, with testing, monitoring, recovery, and data verification.

- Manage conversion tracking and attribution data, including server-side events and feeds of lifetime gross profit to advertising platforms. - Build and maintain BI dashboards for growth, finance, support, and product, and retire outdated dashboards. - Analyze retention, unit economics, attribution, churn, and pricing impact, and proactively flag important metric changes. - Partner with company leaders to scope and prioritize work, using coding agents while remaining accountable for correctness and production behavior.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 2 to 10+ years of experience, including ownership of production data pipelines built with Python. - Hands-on experience with a columnar warehouse such as ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift. - Experience building BI dashboards with Hex, Metabase, or Looker, and defining business metrics such as retention cohorts and unit economics. - Familiarity with Stripe and SaaS metrics such as MRR, ARR, NDR, and LTV; experience with conversion tracking, attribution, Meta Conversions API, or Google Ads conversion imports is valuable.

- Daily use of coding agents, strong engineering ownership, and comfort working proactively in a fast-moving team. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION On-site in Munich, Germany, or Warsaw, Poland.
