Senior CS&A Engineer
About this role
π·ββοΈ Senior Engineer π Warrington π Contract / Staff A CS&A Engineer is required to support the delivery of the CS&A elements of the project, in collaboration with other stakeholders and engineering disciplines. The role will involve the following, among others: π§ General all-round civil and structural design experience required , with experience working on new nuclear build and interfaces with existing structures preferred.
ποΈ Experience is also required in the design of concrete, steel and masonry structures , subject to normal and abnormal environmental loading, including seismic assessments (preferred). π Supporting the delivery of the CS&A design deliverables (e.g. designs, assessments, drawings, and reports), checking and approving the output. β’οΈ Experienced in delivering work within the nuclear industry (preferred). π The person should be either a Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer, or at minimum an Incorporated Engineer.
π€ This role requires interface with Integrated Design Team , facility team (including systems engineering), other project functions and must work closely throughout project phases. The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and on-site visits. π Essential Qualifications: π Degree qualified CS&A Engineer (or equivalent through enhanced experience) π οΈ Essential Experience: β³ A minimum of three years working within a highly regulated industry π§° Familiar with a range of available design technologies and techniques π Production of CS&A design documents , e.g.
civil and structural calculations (design/assessment/substantiation), engineering drawings, specifications, scopes of work, method statements ποΈ Proficient in Steel and Concrete design to current codes β οΈ Knowledge of CDM and design responsibilities π§βπΌ Capable of independent and autonomous work during the delivery of packages π€ Able to actively seek input from other engineers, specialists, facility and project team members to improve understanding and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions π£οΈ Able to present information clearly , tailored to a variety of target audiences π Desirable: π Working towards Chartered Engineer status β’οΈ Experience of Sellafield or broader nuclear industry design π Interest or experience in Sustainability The successful applicant must be a UK resident and, due to the nature of the work to be undertaken, applicants will be required to meet this criteria in order to attain a minimum level of BPSS clearance.
