Why This Role is Exciting As Senior Commercial Counsel at Optro, you will be an integral member of Optro’s expanding legal team, primarily focusing on Enterprise and Strategic deals deals and supporting East Coast Area Directors and their teams.
Your role will be responsible for independently leading legal negotiations with customers and providing general guidance on various transactions including subscription agreements, data processing agreements, partner agreements, and vendor agreements. You will also have the opportunity to shape key initiatives designed to streamline Optro’s contracting process as the company scales. Attributes for a Successful Candidate - 8+ years of in-house transactional experience in a role that requires direct interaction with potential customers, partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders and executives from sales to information security.
- 5+ years of experience negotiating SaaS agreements, Amendments, and Order Forms with enterprise customers - Understanding of full contract lifecycle from NDA to internal approvals through conclusion of signature process - Great bedside manner when working through deals (both internal and external) - Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Proficiency editing and managing contracts using both Microsoft Office and Google Product Suites - Growth mindset, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple concurrent projects and tasks to completion within the required time frame - Team mentality with the flexibility to address unique issues in real-time and the awareness to know when to bring in others - Licensed to practice law and in good standing in state of residence COMPENSATION For this role, the target salary range is $168,000 - $231,000 At Optro, we provide a fair and competitive salary based on a variety of factors, including: - The scope and responsibilities of the role - Your relevant skills, experience, and certifications - Where you are physically located (based on our regional tier system) Note on Internal Ranges: While the range above reflects our current budget for this hire, Optro maintains broader internal salary grades to allow for future career growth and merit-based increases within the role over time.
