Senior Business Development Manager - Grants

Ayming UK is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager with deep expertise in UK grant funding to join our dynamic team in London. Your main responsibilities will be : Client Facing : Engage C-Level stakeholders and key decision-makers to promote Ayming’s Grants offering throughout the entire sales cycle. Market Development: Identify and qualify new grant funding opportunities aligned with client innovation or growth strategies.

Application Support: Assist in coordinating or advising on grant application processes, working closely with internal delivery teams. Pipeline & CRM Management: Maintain accurate records in CRM; manage forecasting and performance reporting. Expert Knowledge: Stay current on funding trends and regulations to act as a trusted advisor. Collaboration: Work with marketing and delivery teams to develop pitch materials and campaign strategies.

7+ years in business development, B2B consultative sales or other senior role responsible for generating new business (e.g. Founder). 3–5+ years direct experience of innovation projects, either in a research, commercial R&D, or consulting environment. Bachelor’s degree or academic equivalent. Dependable: You’ll demonstrate maturity during client engagements and amongst peers. Organised: Time management and prioritisation is key as you will need to autonomously manage pipeline.

Excellent Communicator: Build strong client relationships through regular communication, clarifying key service details, and maintaining accuracy in responding to clients’ queries. Proactive: Independent self-starter with a strategic eye to lead generation. Willing to try new things, research opportunities and innovate in pitches. Networker: Have an extensive network and strong ability to create connections to build it further.
