About this role
For the GS 15: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service that includes ALL of the following: Interpreting and applying regulations governing federal benefits programs (FEDVIP, FEGLI, FLTCIP, FSAFEDS) Analyzing the development of an operating plan outlining the audit resolution and compliance activities Providing advisory services to senior officials on policy, program, or operational issues.
Leading or coordinating complex projects or initiatives that involve multiple stakeholders. Analyzing legislation, regulations, or policy proposals and developing recommendations. Preparing written products such as policy papers, reports, or briefings for top leadership. Applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-14 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-15 level.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
